Matt Young, COO of All Star Recruiting, oversees the daily operations of the organization, including strategic sales planning/execution, the VMS/MSP management teams, CRM design and implementation, and internal information technology division.
With a plan of pursuing a career in the legal field, Matt obtained dual undergraduate degrees in Political Science/Pre-Law and Criminology at Westfield University in Massachusetts. However, in 2003 – declining a graduate school scholarship – he chose a different career path. Relocating to Florida, he began his journey in healthcare staffing at Weatherby Healthcare, one of the largest locum tenens staffing organizations as a physician recruiter working with anesthesiologists.
By 2005, Matt had the opportunity to join a provider he formerly recruited in Denver to start up a locum tenens staffing organization. Until 2010, Matt served as a Senior Executive for this new enterprise–constructing it from the ground up to 50 employees and expanding the organization to become one of the fastest growing in the industry.
In 2010, returning to Florida for another great opportunity in a growing organization, Matt joined All Star Recruiting, as they launched their locum tenens division. Since then, All Star has grown at an unprecedented rate, joining the ranks as one of the fastest growing locum tenens organizations in the country.
During Matt’s more than 14-year career in the locum tenens space, he has touched every aspect of the business – from hiring and training recruiters on the locum side of the business, contracts and corporate processes, to sales and executive leadership.
Matt’s diverse background and progressive career in the industry has afforded him many occasions to educate and play an integral role in the development and maintenance of the integrity of the locums tenens industry.
Matt has served on both the Ethics and Membership Committees for NALTO (the National Association of Locum Tenens Organizations), and has spoken on critical industry topics at numerous conferences.
