NALTO Hall of Fame

Mission Statement

The National Association of Locum Tenens Organizations® (NALTO®) is committed to establishing and upholding rigorous industry standards through a strict Code of Ethics for temporary advanced practitioner and physician staffing. These standards prioritize honesty, objectivity, integrity, and competency.

In support of NALTO’s mission—and in recognition of individuals who have made significant contributions to the industry, the communities served by NALTO members, and the broader field—the NALTO Hall of Fame was established. Its purpose is to honor, celebrate, and preserve the legacy of distinguished individuals whose achievements, contributions, and character have left a lasting impact on the industry.

Nomination Process

Any active member in good standing may nominate an individual who meets a majority of the eligibility criteria. The nominator must complete a nomination questionnaire and provide a rationale for the nominee’s induction into the NALTO Hall of Fame. All nominations must be submitted by October 31 to be considered for the following year’s inductees.

  • Nominee’s CV or résumé
  • At least two letters of recommendation
  • Additional supporting documentation (e.g., awards, publications, press)

Additional Notes:

  • The nominator and nominee may collaborate to ensure the submission is complete.
  • Candidates not selected may be re-nominated in future years.

Selection Committee

The NALTO Board will appoint a seven-member Selection Committee, including either the President or President-Elect. This committee will represent a diverse group of current or former Board members and previous Hall of Fame inductees. Committee members serve three-year terms, renewable once, unless otherwise decided by the NALTO Board.

Committee Process:

  • The committee meets quarterly to evaluate nominations.
  • Up to two inductees may be recommended annually in Q4.
  • The NALTO Board will vote on these recommendations.

Selection Guidelines:

  • Criteria Evaluation – Nominations will be assessed using an objective scoring rubric.
  • Conflict of Interest – Members with conflicts (e.g., family or same employer) must recuse themselves.
  • Voting – A majority vote is required for induction.
  • Class Size – A maximum of two inductees per year. However, the Board may allow a larger inaugural class.
  • Notification – Nominees will be notified of final decisions.

  • Plaques, trophies, or other commemorative materials may be created and prominently displayed.
  • Biographical profiles will be published on the NALTO website or other media platforms.
  • Inductees must sign a name, image, and likeness consent and waiver form authorizing NALTO to use their information in promotional materials.
