NALTO® is asking all member organizations to send a letter of support for H.R. 8347, the RURAL Healthcare Act, which would help preserve independent contractor status for qualified locum tenens physicians and advanced practice providers while protecting patient access to care in rural and underserved communities.
The legislation is intended to establish a federal exemption that supports healthcare staffing flexibility and helps ensure providers remain available where they are needed most.
