NALTO is proud to announce the Tenth Annual National Locum Tenens Week, honoring the essential work of physicians and advanced practice providers who sustain healthcare when and where they’re needed most.
“Locum tenens practitioners are the reliable backbone of the healthcare system,” said Liz Hale, NALTO President. “Their dedication ensures patients receive quality care, even in rural and underserved areas.”
With 81% of healthcare facilities relying on locum tenens providers last year, and roughly one-third of providers having worked locums at some point, it’s becoming an integral part of facilities’ healthcare staffing strategies.
To support this year’s celebration, NALTO has updated the Locum Tenens Week marketing toolkit for 2026 with official logos, social graphics, messaging templates, and ideas to help member agencies recognize their clinicians.
